Sheikh Qasim Abdulateef Badejo, has been installed as the new Chief Imam of Ijebu Igbo and indeed, the entire Ijubu North.
The Ijebu Igbo people are notably influential in politics, business and commerce among others
During the installation, the new Imam was charged with engendering unity and more tranquility in the town.
The occasion was graced by Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by the Secretary to the atate government, Tokunbo Talabi.
The Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona as well as the Orimolusi Ijebu Igbo, Oba Lawrence Adebajo also attended the ceremony among other dignitaries.
