It will be a parade of Nigerians of different strata, male and female as Prestige Newspaper, one of the oldest modern community newsreels in Abeokuta, Ogun State unveils 50 Nigerians under its "Ogun State 50 Top Role Models", book project.
Publisher/Chief Executive Officer of the newspaper, Mr. Dada Olanipekun, said the book project, third in the series is a way of celebrating indigenes and non indigenes alike.
Among those to be celebrated are technocrats, administrators, politicians, para-military personnel among other professionals.
"Although, those being celebrated in this edition are not entirely indigenes of Ogun State, the authors have found their contributions to the state worthy of emulation and documentation for posterity.
Olanipekun added that their sterling qualities have made it unavoidably necessary to beam the search light on them.
The unveiling of the accomplished Nigerians has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists , (NUJ), Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta.
Nigeria's immediate past High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, who is among the role models will also be the special guest speaker.
Ogun State Head of Service, Pastor Kehinde Onasanya is the special guest of honour, while one of his predecessors, Mrs. Iyabo Odulate-Adebowale is the chairperson of the day.
