Assistant Inspector General of Police, (AIG), Olatoye A. Durosinmi, LLB, BL, LLM, has assumed office as the AIG in-charge of Zone 2 Command, comprising Lagos and Ogun States.
The deployment follows the recent posting of Assistant Inspectors General of Police by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun
He succeded AIG Ari Mohammed Ali, fcia, psc+, PhD, who has been deployed as the AIG in-charge Community Policing, Force Headquarters Abuja.
The AIG earlier today was accorded an official salute at the sentry podium, after which he was received by the management team led by DCP Martin Nwogoh
Durosinmi, who was born on August 19, 1964, hails from Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology/Anthropology from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,
Durosinmi is also a holder of LLB (Hons) from Delta State University, Abraka, BL from Nigerian Law School, Abuja and LLM from Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos, and a PhD – in view Imo State University.
He was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Course 16 in the year 1990.
The AIG has served in various capacities across the country, such as the DPO Lion Building Division, DPO Ebute-Ero Division, pioneer DPO Layeni Division, DPO Isheri Division, the pioneer DCP State CID Kebbi State, pioneer DCP FSWAT, Lagos, Delta, and Kwara State, to mention but a few.
The AIG is a vastly experienced police officer who has attended several courses both at home and abroad.
His posting according to SP. Aruba Umma, the Zonal Pol ice Public Relations Officer is aimed at achieving the IGP’s vision statement for “emplacing a modern police force that is professional, secure, and rule of law compliant” from his wealth of experience.
